The Swiss Federal Office of Culture (BAK), Switzerland

The Swiss Federal Office of Culture, with the help of Acme, created a six month residency programme for designers at an apartment on the River Thames in Butlers Wharf in 2003.

Since then, they have continued to offer six month residencies in leased premises in East London. The programme supports a range of designers,  working across the design spectrum. The current programme is based in Claremont Court, a new development in Bethnal Green, E2. The accommodation comprises a two bedroom flat and a one bedroom flat. Claremont Court houses five international residencies programmes, providing the selected artist with the opportunity to make links with other international artists.
