Building Partnerships
Throughout its history, Acme Studios has established a proven track-record of working with a wide range of partners. From the outset, it has worked closely with local government, arts funding bodies, art colleges, property owners and national government departments. Since Acme was established in East London in 1972, the area has undergone a remarkable transformation with the development of Canary Wharf, the arrival of the 2012 Olympics and with the area now recognised as a world-centre for visual arts production and presentation. Acme has been one of the significant players in the area's regeneration.
The organisation has remained at the forefront of artists' housing and studio provision, pioneering new models of development which secure long-term, affordable studios and mutual benefits for the partners involved.
We have established new-build studios through ground-breaking schemes with commercial developers such as Barratt Homes at the Galleria and Telford Homes at Matchmakers Wharf and housing associations such as Swan Housing Group at Leven Road and Catalyst Housing Group at Harrow Road.
Acme continues to work with partner organisations and has several capital projects at various stages of development.
