Shadow Gap presents artist Katja Eydel’s photographic body of work. The images were selected for the book from her many series highlighting the thematic continuity and visual language that positions her work. In Eydel’s work, modes of human coexistence form spatial structures and social frameworks. The visual order of these aesthetic surfaces lead to conclusions about underlying notions and theories; as such, they always also refer to the identities of individuals and possible alternatives to reality.
If you leave me I’m not coming - Already there!
Essays by Diedrich Diederichsen and Jörg Heiser and introductions by Klaus Weber and Alex Farquharson and Abi Spinks.
Klaus Weber is an artist who strays through multiple disciplines and appears to take on various professional roles in his ongoing exploration of natural and socio-political forces, questioning our social, physical, psychological and ontological relationships with the environments we live in. If you leave me I’m not coming was an exhibition of recent works and new commissions, while Already there! in dialogue with if you leave me… was a dense and finely tuned assemblage of 176 artifacts. He regards these objects as the “foundations” of his art works. In a sense they are the foundations of our own thought processes too. The publication is designed as two books in one, a book with two beginnings and no end.
