Acme would like to invite you to a performance at the Hundred Years Gallery by our International Conseil des arts et lettres du Québec Residency artist Yves Charuest, accompanied by Ute Kanngiesser and Steve Noble.

Yves Charuest has been involved in the Canadian jazz and improvised music scene since the 1980s (Nicolas Caloia, Jean Derome, Lisle Ellis, Lori Freedman, Michel Ratté, Scott Thomson, Peter Valsamis) and has played with international musicians such as Peter Kowald, Louis Moholo, William Parker, Agustí Fernández, Nate Wooley, Georg Graewe, Roscoe Mitchell, Lê Quan Ninh, Dominic Lash, Mark Sanders and Steve Noble.

Ute Kanngiesser is a German, London based cellist. Most recent collaborations have been with Seymour Wright, Dimitra Lazaridou Chatzigoga, Rie Nakajima, Jennifer Allum, John Butcher, Terry Day, Billy Steiger, Tom Wheatley, Paul Abbott, Guillaume Viltard, and Daniel Blumberg.

Steve Noble is London's leading drummer, a fearless and constantly inventive improviser whose super-precise, ultra-propulsive and hyper-detailed playing has galvanized encounters with Derek Bailey, Matthew Shipp, Ishmael Wadada Leo Smith, Stephen O'Malley, Joe McPhee, Alex Ward, Rhodri Davies and many, many more.

If you would like to attend, please RSVP to laura@acme.org.uk and we will book the tickets.
